Fix it! (Faculty Meeting #5)

I met with Annina on Thursday, November 18th. This time the HLES people liked the design I had created, however they wanted to change some of the information on the brochure and they wanted to try another color scheme with red and black to fit the new images they wanted in the brochure. I edited the original school color brochure, in case they may like that better. Then I redid the colors with red and black. They now have several options.

Re-do (Project # 2 Revisited)

After meeting with Annina once again last week, she told me to stop on the web page banners she was having me design and to revisit my CAC Brochure. Unfortunately, after meeting with them, Annina found out they weren't excited about the design. They wanted something more professional; something aimed more at teachers/faculty verses students. So I came up with this:

Midterm Meeting (Faculty Meeting #4 and Project #3)

I met with Joseph last week, on Tuesday, October 11th. We went over my previous projects, which he seemed pleased with. He like that I used a more contemporary approach to the CAC Brochure and that it didn't look so much like it came from the early 90s. We discussed the HLES banner I was working on. I was confused with what Annina had sent me,  as she had asked me to "work on the banner" and had given me a banner that already had a good design that worked well for what the banner was. So, Joseph gave me some ideas. However, when I completed the banner last week it looked liked this:

However, this is not what was asked by Annina. I was confused with what she had asked in the email. She has not asked for me to remake the banner she had sent me but to use it as a template for a banner for the HLES Student Computer Lab sign for a "Quiet Work Zone". I have just finished working on it:

I sent it to Annina via email and am waiting for her reply, as our meeting had to be cancelled today. I personally am pleased with how it turned out especially in comparison to the first one. 

CAC Brochure (Faculty Meeting #3)

I met once again with Annina. She appreciated my brochure. When I told her that I was trying to keep a consistent UWF theme by going with circles because it reminded me of the "Think UWF" campaign, she agreed it was a good idea.

She then asked me to make my brochure into a tri-fold for set up at sports games on campus. However, we never received the exact measurements for the tri-fold, so she asked me to work on a banner for the HLES department instead.

My Next Project (Faculty Meeting #2)

I met with Annina on Thursday of last week. She seemed to be very happy with the Message Therapy gift certificate. She said it was what they were looking for! 

My next project, Annina has given me is a brochure/trifold for the UWF Campus Alcohol Coalition. Annina requested a more "modern" feel. I am currently working on this project!

Internship Excitement (Faculty Meeting #1)

I received an internship with UWF Recreation and Sports last week! Initially, I was contacted by Annina Dahlstrom, the Marketing and Technology Coordinator. She asked me to come in for a meeting last Thursday (Sep 8). I met with her at about 11:20am, and we discussed for over an hour what my role would be there. I am to create any project she gives me, which will mostly be posters, banners and such, things I'll be able to put in my portfolio.

During the meeting, Annina gave me brochures and pamphlets on Recreation and Sports. After we met, she sent me numerous materials to work with and read, including the "University of West Florida Graphic and Brand Identity Standards Manual". I learned a lot, from this and the style guide.

Annina's first project for me was to update their Message Therapy gift certificate. It was quite bland looking. She asked me if I could make it more "luxurious". And I believe I did just that!
